Boroli, Barbera d'Alba 2017

Boroli was founded by a Piedmontese family of entrepreneurs in 1831. Firstly in the textile industry, then in publishing before moving into wine-growing, it is now headed up by Silvano and Elena Boroli who have worked tirelessly to bring the vineyards, winery and wine back to nature. Barbera d'Alba 2017 is a supremely rich, opulent and luxurious Barbera. Bright red fruit combines with mocha, blackcurrant and juicy plum. The tannins are well-integrated to create a silky, velvety palate which retains a good bright acidity. The finish is almost never-ending. Simply put: this is a knockout Barbera and one we can't get enough of.
